Western Poetry Publications (WPP) is the book publications imprint of The Resource Network, a nonprofit educational organization incorporated in Washington State in 1981.
WPP is dedicated to preserving, sharing, and celebrating our western and cowboy heritage through traditional poetry in the ballad format. Such poetry stresses both historic and contemporary life in western rural environments and has strong rhyme and rhythm.
Editorial Requirements
Our editorial requirements are quite stringent, both as to form and substance. Submissions are accepted only in text form sent in the body of an email (no attachments). The author's name should be included as well as the date of copyright (year created) and a one or two-line bio statement. By submitting a poem or poems the author grants the right for WPP to publish the material on it's web site as well as to publish the poem or poems in chapbook or book format. No payment is given except that the author will be given two copies of any publication (book or chapbook) in which the material is printed.
